Washington Nationals relief pitcher Brad Lidge was activated off of the disabled list on Thursday and will be ready to go in Thursday's game against the New York Mets. The Nationals made another announcement this afternoon as fellow relief pitcher Henry Rodriguez was placed on the 15-day disabled list.
OFFICIAL: #Nats reinstate RHP Brad Lidge from the 15-Day DL, place RHP Henry Rodriguez on 15-Day DL, retro to 6/6
— Washington Nationals (@Nationals) June 7, 2012
So far this season, Lidge has made seven appearances and has two saves in four chances with a 5.14 ERA.
The reason for Rodriguez's trip to the DL is because he slammed a door on his finger, according to Washington Post Nationals writer Adam Kilgore.
Davey says that Henry Rodriguez slammed a door on his right index finger. Davey hopes he can pitch Friday. #SMHRod

Obviously now because of being placed on the disabled list, it means he will not be starting on Friday.
