The Washington Nationals look for their first win at Fenway Park on Friday night. Can pitcher Stephen Strasburg cool off the Red Sox bats?

While the Washington Nationals have never won a game at Fenway Park in their history, but with pitcher Stephen Strasburg taking the mound against the Boston Red Sox on Friday in the first of a three game series, that could change. Strasburg, with a record of 6-1 with a 2.35 ERA, is coming off a performance where he struck out nine and allowed only four hits in seven innings of work against the Atlanta Braves on June 2.

On the Red Sox side, they send Felix Doubront to the mound on Friday, coming off a six and one-thirds innings performance where he allowed only two earned runs in a 7-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Doubront is currently 6-2 with a 3.75 ERA on the season and is 5-1 with a 2.72 ERA in his last six starts.

Outfielder Bryce Harper has been getting treatment for a tender back, but should be able to play on Friday against the Red Sox despite taking hard fall in Thursday's loss to the New York Mets.

The game is scheduled for a 7:10 p.m. first pitch from Fenway Park with television coverage provided by MASN. Radio coverage will be provided by 106.7 The Fan FM, 1500 WFED AM and 1580 WFHS AM.
