Nationals Vs. Braves: Washington Ends 10-Game Road Trip With Sunday Contest Against Atlanta

The Washington Nationals (44-32) and Stephen Strasburg did not handle record temperatures in Atlanta well Saturday, falling 7-5 to the Braves (41-36) after Strasburg allowed three runs, two hits and four walks in just three innings of work. The temperature was recorded at 106 degrees at gametime, an Atlanta record.

Lefty Gio Gonzlaez (10-3, 2.78 ERA) takes the hill for Davey Johnson's club on Sunday. Gonzalez has thrived on the road this year, posting a 6-1 record with a 3.13 ERA in eight starts away from D.C.

Veteran righty Tim Hudson (6-3, 3.58) will be on the mound for Atlanta. In his career, Hudson has dominated the Nationals/Expos franchise, going 14-4 with a 2.35 ERA in 24 career starts against Washington/Montreal.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. EST at Turner Field.
