Stay connected for news and updates

One night after being blanked, Washington Nationals starter Jordan Zimmerman certainly has gotten some run support, as the Nats lead the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 4-1 at Miller Park.

In the fourth, with the game knotted at 0-0, Corey Brown launched a solo home run to left center field. In the next at bat, Adam LaRoche single. Promptly. Michael Morse then hit a two-run homer to give Zimmerman a three-run cushion.

Later, in the fifth inning, Ryan Zimmerman hit a solo homer.

Jordan Zimmerman, who took the hill Saturday night, has tossed 85 pitches over five innings, striking out five batters to put Washington in position to bounce back from Friday's loss.
