Nationals Vs. Brewers: Washington Tops Milwaukee 4-1

One night after being held scoreless in a 6-0 loss, the Washington Nationals bounced back Saturday night with 11 hits to top the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-1 at Miller Park.

The Nats' four runs all came by way of the long ball: a solo home run from Corey Brown and a two-run blast from Michael Morse in the fourth inning and solo shot from Ryan Zimmerman in the fifth.

That was all starting pitcher Jordan Zimmerman needed. The right-hander and Wisconsin native, playing in front of his home state fans, fanned six batters over six innings, to improve to 8-6 on the season. The Washington bullpen would pitch three scoresless innings and closer Tyler Clippard came on to grab his 19th save of the season.

The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 2:10 p.m. EST. Gio Gonzalez will be on the mound for Washington.
