The Washington Nationals open a two-game series with the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night. The Nationals will send their ace Stephen Strasburg (15-5, 2.85 ERA) and his controversial innings count to the mound. The Marlins will counter with Ricky Nolasco (9-12, 5.07).

Washington will get shortstop Ian Desmond and LF Michael Morse back after a period of absence. Desmond suffered a hyperextended knee on Aug. 22 and missed the entire series against the Philadelphia Phillies. Morse was hit in the hand by a pitch on Aug. 24 and missed two games.
