Nationals Vs. Marlins: Washington Hopes To Avert Sixth Straight Loss

Stay connected for news and updates

The Washington Nationals may still be tops in the NL East, but a five-game losing streak at any point in the season is never a good thing. The Nats have been outscored 26-6 in their losing skid but will be looking to get back on track as they face off against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday night, concluding their brief, two-game set.

Ross Detwiler will take the mound for Washington on Wednesday, hoping to help end its five-game slide. Detwiler was on the losing end of his last start against the Atlanta Braves exactly one week ago and enters the game with a 7-6 record and an ERA of 3.25 on the season.
