Cardinals Vs. Nationals: Jayson Werth Scratched Late From Lineup

Stay connected for news and updates

Jayson Werth left Saturday night's game with hamstring cramping, but it seemed that all was fine when he was listed in the starting lineup for Sunday's rubber match with the St. Louis Cardinals. Things changed just before first pitch, however, with Werth being scratched from the lineup and Roger Bernadina taking over in the leadoff spot. The change also pushed Bryce Harper to right field with Bernadina going to center.

Bernadina grounded out to second in his first at-bat of the game.
