After clinching a postseason berth on Thursday, the Nationals continue their push to lock up the NL East with a weekend series against the Brewers.

With a postseason berth secured, the Washington Nationals now resume their drive to clinch the NL East on Friday as they open a weekend series against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Nationals enter the game with their magic number at eight. The Brewers, meanwhile, have suddenly thrust themselves into contention for the second Wild Card spot and trail the Cardinals by just 2.5 games.

The series will open with a pitching matchup between Edwin Jackson and Shaun Marcum. Jackson has had an inconsistent September but did have success against the Brewers in his one start against Milwaukee this season, pitching seven scoreless innings. Marcum has not pitched six innings in his past three starts but the Brewers bats have continued to rake and picked him up during an unremarkable stretch on the mound.

First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET and MASN 2 will have the television broadcast.
