Could Jim Zorn Be The Seahawks' Offensive Coordinator?

Since when was Jim Zorn a hot coaching candidate? Apparently, since now. After being rumored to be a candidate to take over the Cleveland Browns' offensive coordinator position, the former Redskins coach may have a new destination: Seattle. According to Adam Schefter, Zorn is apparently in the running for the Seahawks' now-vacant offensive coordinator position.

Another OC candidate the Seahawks are considering is Baltimore's Jim Zorn, a choice that would be popular in Seattle's locker room.less than a minute ago via ÜberTwitter

The Seahawks got rid of Jeremy Bates earlier today, and QB coach Jedd Fish and former Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels (really?) are a couple guys who have been on their radar to replace Bates. I guess you can now add Zorn to the list. Funny how much difference a season makes.

On another note, I love how Schefter notes that Zorn would be "popular" in Seattle's locker room. He was pretty damn popular in the Redskins' locker room, which was kind of the whole problem with his tenure. Coaches don't earn their living by winning popularity contests.
