When it rains it pours.
It took London Fletcher well over a decade to make his first Pro Bowl appearance a year ago, and he will be making his second straight.
London Fletcher has been named to the Pro Bowl....He replaces Brian Urlacher, who apparently suffered an injury in NFC title game.
Who knows if Brian Urlacher is actually injured or if he just doesn't want to play in a meaningless game so soon after losing in the NFC Championship game. Whatever the case, I'm sure he won't be the only guy on either the Jets or the Bears to pull out of the game.
London Fletcher is the beneficiary of the flawed Pro Bowl system. The game can't get everyone that it wants to participate because of how it is set up, and how violent the game of football is. There really isn't anything they can do to fix it (which they have tried) so this is just the way it is. It's not a bad thing, but it is what it is. London Fletcher won't be the only player who gets in because of it. Congratulations, London.
