Redskins Vs. Eagles: Chris Cooley Has Knee Drained, One Of Four Washington Players Limited In Practice

Stay connected for news and updates

The Washington Redskins have a golden opportunity to retain control of the NFC East and perhaps bury the postseason chances of a divisional rival when they host the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday at Fed Ex Field. Coming off their bye week, Mike Shanahan has Washington rested and ready to go. There are some lingering injury issues though on both sides of the ball, including the knee of Chris Cooley. The veteran tight end had his knee drained on Thursday after it swelled significantly during Monday's practice. He was however able to still practice, albeit on a limited basis.

Also limited for the second consecutive day of practice were receiver Anthony Armstrong (hamstring), running back Tim Hightower (shoulder), cornerback Phillip Buchanon (neck). Stay tuned for more information about who may or may not be forced to sit out Sunday's tilt against the Eagles.
