Tim Hightower's injury in the Washington Redskins' game against the Carolina Panthers initially looked very serious. Hightower's left knee buckled, and he had to be helped off the field. However, after the game, Hightower said X-rays were negative and he does not think he suffered an ACL tear. Via Rick Maese of the Washington Post.

Hightower said he will know the full extent of his injury on Monday when an MRI is taken. Prior to the injury, Hightower was having a strong game, rushing for 88 yards. If he is out for an extended period of time, Ryan Torain and Roy Helu would take on a larger role in the running game.
