Fred Davis Fantasy Projection: Healthy Washington Tight End Could Exploit Weak Miami Pass Defense

Stay connected for news and updates

Fred Davis struggled a bit in his return from an ankle injury last week for the Redskins, catching just four balls for 42 yards in a 19-11 Washington loss, but Davis has practiced fully leading up to the Week 10 matchup with the Miami Dolphins, and will be a key component in the Redskins offense Sunday afternoon.

The fantasy football projection site numberFire expects Davis to top last week's performance, but only slightly so. He is ranked as the seventh best play at tight end. His projected stats: 4.60 rec for 48.39 yds, 0.44 TDs, 7.44 points

The Dolphins pass defense is one of the weaker units in the NFL, surrendering 265.3 yards per game through the air, ranking them 27th in the league.

For the season, Davis leads all Redskins receivers with 40 receptions, for 559 yards and two touchdowns.
