The Washington Redskins released Donte Stallworth last week, and now, it looks like they will bring him back. A report by Howard Eskin in Philadelphia suggests it was true, and multiple reporters in Washington D.C. have confirmed the news.
Stallworth returns after not producing much in games for the Redskins. However, the team liked his presence in the locker room and have decided that is enough to have him return. The Redskins also need a wide receiver to replace Leonard Hankerson on the 53-man roster after the rookie suffered a torn labrum in his hip in the Redskins' 20-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
With Stallworth's return, the Redskins now employ the following group of healthy receivers. Santana Moss has not gone to injured reserve, but he is still hurt, as is Niles Paul.

Leonard Hankerson's season is over, the Washington Redskins announced Monday, due to a torn labrum in his right hip. The rookie wide receiver suffered the injury during his breakout performance against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. Hankerson, making his second start of the season for the injured Santana Moss, caught eight passes for 106 yards. That's no mean feat, as no other Redskins receiver had more than three receptions or 37 yards in that 20-9 loss.
Hankerson's season ends with the former Miami Hurricane recording 13 receptions for 163 yards and no scores. The Redskins made him the No. 79 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. With Moss and Hankerson out, Washington's top receiving options are tight end Fred Davis and wideout Jabar Gaffney. Niles Paul is another injured Washington wide receiver.

Washington Redskins' wide receiver Leonard Hankerson may work his way onto a few fantasy football rosters after having a solid performance against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The Redskins' rookie, starting due to the injury to Santana Moss, caught eight passes for 106 yards. The only problem is that he also suffered a hip injury and had to leave the game.
If Hankerson remains healthy, he may be worth a look if Rex Grossman continues to start at quarterback. Grossman may throw lots of interceptions, but at least he'll try to get the ball to his wide receiver. Of all those wideouts, Hankerson was targeted the most. That makes him at least serviceable as a backup if he can remain healthy.

We still don't have a ton of answers on the status of Washington Redskins wide receiver Leonard Hankerson, who suffered a right hip injury in the team's 20-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. We do know that an MRI was taken and turned up negative, but that's about it. Via Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan.
X-rays taken after the game on Leonard Hankerson's injured hip were negative. But the rookie-WR left the
#Redskins locker room on crutches.
We also know that Hankerson himself doesn't think the injury is serious, because that's what he told Rich Campbell of the Washington Times. It's worth noting, though, that Tim Hightower delivered similar quotes after he suffered what ended up being a season-ending knee injury against the Carolina Panthers.
Hankerson suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter after picking up a first down. He caught eight passes for 106 yards in the game.

Already down two scores to the Miami Dolphins, the Washington Redskins received even more bad news. Rookie wide receiver Leonard Hankerson, who has 106 receiving yards in a breakout performance, was forced to leave the game after coming down awkwardly on his leg. The Redskins later announced that he suffered a right rip strain.
Hankerson had just caught a key third-down conversion when his leg buckled strangely on his fall. He slammed his hand on the field when he went down and was on the ground for a while, but he was able to walk off the field under his own power. He did struggle to put weight on his leg, so it remains to be seen if the injury is serious.
Hankerson joins Santana Moss and Niles Paul as Redskins receiver who have gotten hurt this season.
