Week 11 NFL Picks, Cowboys Vs. Redskins: Peter King Has Dallas By 13

The Washington Redskins have lost each of their last five games heading into Sunday's NFC East showdown with the Dallas Cowboys, and Sports Illustrated NFL scribe Peter King predicts their misery will continue. King picks Dallas to win, 23-10, which would send Washington to 3-7 on the season and improve the visiting Cowboys to 6-4.

The play of running back DeMarco Murray swayed King's pick in Dallas' favor. "In the past -- oh, way back in the pre-DeMarco days -- I'd be picking Dallas to lose this game," King says, "because they just do weird things to lose games they certainly should win, particularly rivalry games." However, as King points out, Murray's averaged 150.3 yards per game in his last four outings, which has made the sun "warmer" and the sky "bluer" in Dallas; the Cowboys are 3-1 in that stretch.

The Redskins have yielded 4.3 yards per carry this season, in the middle of the NFL pack, so they're theoretically no more vulnerable to the run than any other team. But Murray is not an ordinary running back. Perhaps if they can contain him, and hang some points on the board themselves, the Redskins can upset their division rivals and make King regret his pick.
