If you're a fantasy football owner, you've experienced all the weeks when your starting quarterback is on a bye and you need a fill-in. Several fantasy owners are experiencing that this week with several star quarterbacks like Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees and others. Does that mean you should give Rex Grossman a chance against the Dallas Cowboys?
Well, no. For starters, the Redskins' offense is just horrendous now. For another, the Cowboys' defense has been stingy recently, as they recently shut down the high-powered Buffalo Bills attack in a blowout win. The Redskins, meanwhile, have scored one touchdown combined in their last three weeks, and Grossman throws a lot of interceptions.
Numberfire.com projects Grossman to finish with 9.92 fantasy points this week. That's not enough to make him worth playing.
