Trent Williams Injury Update: Tests Show No Knee Ligament Tears, But Return Uncertain

Stay connected for news and updates

Tests revealed Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams, who injured his left knee in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, does not have any damage in his knee ligaments, reports Mike Jones of the Washington Post.

Williams, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, said Monday he is "just sore." He has yet to hear if the injury will force him to miss more playing time, as he previously lost two games to a sprained right ankle.

The Redskins visit the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday. Though a mediocre defensive team on the whole, Seattle has the league's No. 3 defense against the run, allowing just 3.5 yards per carry and surrendering just five touchdowns on the ground this season. Having their top offensive lineman available against such a stout defensive front would certainly be a boon for the Redskins.
