Phillip Buchanon Injury: Washington Redskins' Cornerback Heading To Injured Reserve, According To Report

Phillip Buchanon's season is over, as the Redskins have placed him on injured reserve, according to his Facebook page.

Proving that Facebook is truly taking over the world. Phillip Buchano announced on his personal Facebook page that he will be placed on the injured reserve list and end his season for the Washington Redskins.  At the season's halfway point, the team must have decided they could no longer hold Buchanon's roster spot.

Buchanon played in all 16 games for the Redskins in 2010, registering 18 passes defended and two interceptions. Though not a major signing, Buchanon contributed to pass coverage in nickel situations and was an able-bodied NFL cornerback. 2011 started rough for Buchanon. He re-signed with the Redskins after the lockout ended and was forced to sit out four games for a banned substance violation.
