NFL TV Schedule, Washington D.C.: Redskins Vs. 49ers Lone Early Game

Don't have DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket, like this poor scribe? Well, you can join me in getting three games on the networks in the Washington, D.C. metro market on Sunday. The Redskins are the early game, and obviously the highlight of the day, while the two late games could be intriguing, one because of the teams involved and the other for the appearance of polarizing second year quarterback Tim Tebow. After the jump, your NFL Week 9 television schedule:

FOX Early Game, San Francisco (6-1) @ Washington (3-4): Two teams headed in opposite directions. The 49ers have won five straight games, and already hold a four game lead in the mediocre NFC West. The Redskins have lost three straight after a promising 3-1 start to the season, have been besieged by injury, and seem to have one of the worst two-headed quarterback tandems the league has seen in quite some time. Given all that, very much a trap game for San Francisco, kicking off at 1:00PM EST after traveling from the West Coast. Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston and Tony Siragusa have the call.

FOX Late Game, NY Giants (5-2) @ New England (5-2): What should we set the over/under as for references to Super Bowl XLII, and/or David Tyree's catch? Maybe one billion? Forgetting the past, this is a premier matchup of two 5-2 teams jockeying for division titles and playoff berths, as both the NFC East and AFC East are loaded with talented teams, all of which cannot make the playoffs. The Giants are coming off a too-close-for-comfort 20-17 win over the hapless Dolphins last week, and the Patriots are still smarting after falling 25-17 to the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are your announce team.

CBS Late Game, Denver (2-5) @ Oakland (4-3): I honestly would not be surprised to see four interceptions returned for touchdowns in this game, what with the matchup being Tim Tebow vs. Carson Palmer. Young Mr. Tebow is more more atrocious start from find his behind nailed to the bench. The Raiders certainly hope to see something better from Palmer, given their absurd trade of to first round picks for the former Bengals starter. Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf in the broadcast booth for this one.
