Losing is becoming a habit for the Washington Redskins. On Sunday, the Redskins lost their fourth straight, 19-11, to the San Francisco 49ers.

For most of the game, the Redskins' offense lacked any punch. Quarterback John Beck led a late touchdown drive featuring a lot of dump offs to running back Roy Helu. Helu ended the game with 14 receptions, breaking a record held by Hall of Famer Art Monk.

Beck connected with Jabar Gaffney for the nine-yard touchdown and then hit rookie wide receiver Leonard Hankerson for the two-point conversion. Facing just an eight point deficit, the Redskins went for the onside kick, but the Niners recovered and ended the game.

The Redskins defense played another effective game, with consistent pressure on San Francisco quarterback Alex Smith. With limited offensive production, the Redskin defense can only do so much.
