The rookie wideout left Sunday's game with turf toe and will miss a few weeks, coach Mike Shanahan said Monday.
Washington Redskins wide receiver Niles Paul has turf toe and will miss "a couple weeks" to recover, coach Mike Shanahan said in a Monday news conference streamed on the team's official website. Paul left Sunday's loss against the San Francisco 49ers in the second quarter and did not return.
The rookie has appeared in seven of Washington's eight games this season, tallying two catches for 25 yards, both catches coming against the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 23. He's also made one kick return for 25 yards.
The Redskins made Paul the No. 155 overall selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, and the second of the three wide receivers they chose; the others are Leonard Hankerson (No. 79) and Aldrick Robinson (No. 178). In his four seasons at Nebraska, Paul caught 103 passes for 1532 yards and five scores. In addition, he returned 77 kickoffs and 60 punts, adding another three touchdowns on special teams.
