Patriots Vs. Redskins Update: Josh Wilson Interception Keeps Redskins Alive

The New England Patriots were driving to take a two-touchdown lead on the Washington Redskins. Instead, Josh Wilson made a huge interception on third and goal, giving the Redskins the ball back down 34-27.

The Wilson interception eliminated a sure Patriots scoring drive. The Patriots methodically moved the ball up the field with short passes. Aaron Hernandez picked up a big first down when he caught a pass on a simple hook route, made the linebacker miss and ran it down to the Redskins' 17-yard line. Danny Woodhead picked up another first down when he picked up 10 yards on an outside toss, setting up first and goal. The Redskins caught a break when Wes Welker dropped a pass that would have been a sure touchdown. On third down, Brady tried to lob it to a receiver, but Wilson jumped in front for the interception.

The Redskins will now take over with 6:30 to go.
