Rex Grossman had a big day on Sunday against the NFL's worst ranked pass defense. Grossman finished with 252 yards passing against the New England Patriots. He was 19 of 32 and added two touchdown passes in what was a shootout at FedEx Field.

The interception prone quarterback went without a pick until Washington's final offensive play of the afternoon. It was hardly all Grossman's fault, as the Skins quarterback was flushed out of the pocket and forced to dump a short pass over the middle to Santana Moss. Moss was not ready for the ad lib throw and bobbled the ball which bounced into the arms of Pats linebacker Jerod Mayo. It would be Grossman's only interception of the day and end the comeback drive.
