The Washington Redskins will take a nice leisurely drive up I-95 this weekend on their way up to Secaucus, New Jersey for a matchup with the New York Giants. The Redskins don't have a ton to play for, except for maybe draft position, and even then they might want to lose. So this would be a good time to take a look at some of the younger players and see what you have. One of the players that is going to get a long look is DeJon Gomes, who appears to be starting at safety for the rest of the year.
Jim Haslett says DJ Gomes will play the rest of the way in place of starting safety OJ Atogwe. Gomes will play strong safety.

It was later clarified in a second tweet by Rick Maese that Gomes will in fact being playing strong safety, but it will be in place of LaRon Landry, not Atogwe. That means that Landry could be out for the rest of the year, although at this point that isn't entirely clear.
