Josh Wilson Injury Update: Mike Shanahan Says Washington Redskins' CB Was 'Woozy'

Stay connected for news and updates

Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Wilson is "woozy" after taking a hit to the head in Sunday's victory against the New York Giants, coach Mike Shanahan said Monday, according to Rich Campbell of the Washington Times. Wilson will undergo tests on his head Tuesday.

It's unclear when specifically Wilson suffered the injury, though he performed well against New York, recording four tackles (all solo) and an interception of an Eli Manning pass to the endzone in Washington's upset victory.

On the season, Wilson has 56 tackles (43 solo), two interceptions, 15 passes defensed, and one fumble recovery. He remains a key part of the Redskins' defense, which ranks No. 16 in points allowed and No. 7 in passing touchdowns allowed.

Washington's next game is Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings. One assumes the team will release details on Wilson and his availability for that contest once the results of his tests come in.
