Jets Vs. Redskins Score Update: Shonn Greene Touchdown Gives Jets 27-16 Lead

Stay connected for news and updates

The New York Jets have quickly put this game against the Washington Redskins away. First, Santonio Holmes caught a touchdown to give the Jets the lead. Then, the Jets recovered a Rex Grossman fumble deep in Redskins territory, and Shonn Greene scored a touchdown two plays later to give the Jets a 27-16 lead with 3:42 remaining

The Redskins got the ball back after the Holmes score and threw two straight incompletions. On third down, Rex Grossman was rushed and fumbled deep in their own territory. Calvin Pace ended up recovering the fumble. Greene then squeezed through the middle to get in for the 11-yard touchdown run.

The Redskins now have 3:42 and all three timeouts to somehow make up the deficit.
