2011 NFL Mock Draft: Redskins Take Cameron Jordan In Latest SB Nation Mock

Stay connected for news and updates

The guys over at SB Nation just came out with their latest 2011 NFL Mock Draft, and they have the Redskins taking Cal defensive end Cameron Jordan. Here is their rationale.

This is another spot where a pass rusher makes sense, as the Redskins could use a complement to Brian Orakpo. Quarterback is a possibility. Jordan, however, quietly remains this year's most versatile and pro-ready prospect.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think Cameron Jordan is a great fit for the Redskins. It would be an even better value pick if they are able to trade down a few spots to get him. But Jordan is tailor-made for the defensive end spot in a 3-4 defense, and the Redkins have a huge hole there. He won't make huge home run plays like some of the other higher-profile prospects in this draft, but he will be incredibly solid and should be able to play right away. He's the exact kind of safe pick that the Redskins need to be making.
