2011 NFL Mock Draft: Robert Quinn To Redskins In Peter King's Mock Draft

Stay connected for news and updates

Sports Illustrated senior writer Peter King's mock draft has the Washington Redskins taking a defensive player with their No. 10 overall pick. In the current issue of Sports Illustrated, on newsstands this week, King has the Redskins taking North Carolina defensive end Robert Quinn with their pick.

A 6'5'', 270-pound defensive end, Quinn has vaulted high up most 2011 NFL mock drafts. Quinn missed his entire junior season because he was one of several Tar Heels who was suspended for lying to investigators about receiving improper benefits. In 2009, as a sophomore, Quinn was a first-team all-ACC selection, garnering 11 sacks on the season. His physical tools, specifically his ability to rush the passer, have drawn comparisons to fellow North Carolina alum Julius Peppers.

King, however, says that while he believes the Redskins will take Quinn, the team should instead take offensive lineman Mike Pouncey out of Florida, in order to solidify a weak area that has existed on the team for several years.
