NFL Mock Draft 2011: Cameron Jordan To Redskins In Final SB Nation Mock

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2011 NFL Draft is here, and the action gets started on Thursday at 8 p.m.. But there is still plenty of time for idle speculation and educated guessery. SB Nation just released the final version of their 2011 NFL Mock Draft, and they have the Redskins taking Cal defensive end Cameron Jordan. Here is their rationale.

A prototypical 3-4 defensive end, Jordan helps the re-building Redskins while also offering some pass rush to a defense that needs it.

I think Cameron Jordan is a really solid pick because the Redskins need a lot of help along the defensive line. He is the prototypical 3-4 defensive end that could step in right away and have an impact on the defense. He might not be as flashy as some of the other players who could still be on the board, but he will be a very solid if unspectacular player. This is a solid pick, and the kind that the Redskins need to start making to be successful.

The first round of the 2011 NFL Draft starts at 8 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, April 28, and SB Nation has everything you need to prepare: NFL mock drafts, draft projections, scouting reports, the full NFL draft schedule and more. Check it out at SB Nation's NFL Draft page and our NFL Draft blog, Mocking the Draft.
