The Washington Redskins have avoided throwing big money at top-tiered free agents thus far in this NFL free agency period, so one should take this with a grain of salt. However, a report by Pro Football Talk suggests the Redskins have "expressed preliminary interest" in New York Giants free-agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw.
Bradshaw is arguably the top running back left on the board, and is coming off a season where he rushed for 1,235 yards and eight touchdowns. He's also fairly young, at just 25 years of age. But with few teams expressing much interest in him thus far in free agency, it's very possible that Bradshaw's camp is merely using the Redskins as leverage to drive up the price of his new contract with the Giants.
