Chris Cooley Injury: Redskins' Tight End Still Expects To Play In Week 1 Vs. Giants

Chris Cooley has missed the entire preseason with a knee injury, but continues to stick to his story that he will be ready to play when the Washington Redskins take on the New York Giants in Week 1 of the NFL regular season. In an interview after practice, Cooley reiterated that he is confident he will be ready to go by then. Via John Keim of the Washington Examiner.

Cooley also said he expects to practice beginning next week. In his absence, Fred Davis has received the first-team reps at tight end.
