Tony Romo Injury Update: Dallas Cowboys' QB 'Good To Go' Vs. Washington Redskins

Dallas quarterback Tony Romo told ESPN that he will play tomorrow night against the Washington Redskins. In an overtime win last week against the San Francisco 49ers, Romo suffered a broken rib and a punctured lung. Despite those injurires, Romo came out to finish the San Francisco game and plans to play tomorrow night.

Romo's status was the biggest question going into the game. The Cowboys have other injuries to key players like Miles Austin, but the drop-off from Romo to backup Jon Kitna is severe. A Romo-less Cowboy squad would have made the Redskins task easier.

Asked about Romo's injuries earlier in the week, Washington cornerback DeAngelo Hall said he intends to go after Romo and target his ribs. Romo responded in the conversation with ESPN, saying that if Romo is blitzing, he will not be in coverage, and that the Cowboys will attack that position. Romo did not practice all week prior to Saturday.

The Cowboys against the Redskins on Monday Night Football usually produces drama. The injuries and back and forth of Romo and Hall only add to what should be a terrific game. If the Redskins win, they will move to 3-0, first in the NFC East and 2-0 in the division. The Cowboys sit at 1-1. Vegas has established the Cowboys as 5.5 point favorites.
