Washington Redskins Injury Report: LaRon Landry Sits Out Practice Again

The latest Washington Redskins injury report is out for the team's Week 1 game against the New York Giants, and LaRon Landry is once again listed as not participating in practice. The Redskins' safety ruled himself out of the game on Wednesday with a hamstring injury, but coach Mike Shanahan declined to do so, saying there was a chance he might end up playing. On Thursday, Shanahan still wouldn't rule him out, but did say it was "unlikely" he would play.

Via Zac Boyer of the Fredericksburg Free-Lance Star:

#Redskins coach Mike Shanahan on SS LaRon Landry (hamstring) playing Sunday: "I've seen guys do it, but it's going to be a long shot."

Tight end Chris Cooley was also limited in practice, but Shanahan said he is "making progress every day." Here is the full injury report.

OUT: None.

DID NOT PRACTICE: LaRon Landry (Hamstring)

LIMITED IN PRACTICE: Oshimogho Atogwe (hamstring), Brandon Banks (knee), Chris Cooley (knee), Donte Stallworth (shoulder), Ryan Torain (hand).
