Graham Gano Injury: Washington Redskins' Kicker Fractures Bones In Back, Reportedly Out 6-8 Weeks

Washington Redskins kicker Graham Gano suffered a serious back injury in the team's final regular-season game against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Mike Jones of the Washington Post. Gano suffered two fractured bones in his lower back, and his recovery time is expected to be 6-8 weeks.

The injury happened when he was trying to make a tackle after his 36-yard field goal was blocked. Gano tried to tackle Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, but he flipped the ball to a teammate to keep the play going. Eventually, Jason Babin nailed Gano in the back, which caused the injury. Gano did manage to kick an extra point and a kickoff after the play.

Gano is a free agent this season. He hit 31 of 41 field goals, but had five of his kicks blocked for different reasons. He also nailed a career-high 59-yard kick during the year.
