The Redskins will face their first NFC East opponent of 2012 when they face the Giants on Sunday.

Robert Griffin III will face his first NFC East opponent on Sunday when the Redskins travel to face the New York Giants. The Giants enter Sunday's game at 4-2 and sit alone atop the NFC East. The 3-3 Redskins sit just behind the defending Super Bowl champions. Washington won both games against the Giants last season, but had lost six consecutive games to New York before 2011.

Both the Giants and Redskins bring explosive offenses into the game. The Giants are currently ranked third in the NFL with 414.7 yards per game, while Washington averages 394 yards per contest and sit fifth. The Redskins struggle to defend the pass, they are allowing a league-worst 328 yards per contest through the air.

Griffin III will be the key player for the Redskins. His six rushing touchdowns have him second in the NFL behind just Arian Foster of the Houston Texans. Griffin is also leading the NFL in completion percentage at 70.2.

OddsShark has the Giants favored by seven, with the over/under set at 50.5 points.
