The Redskins will get their long snapper back at practice this week.
Washington Redskins long snapper Nick Sundberg has been out since Week 2 after breaking his arm against the Rams. After spending more than a month in a cast, Sundberg has been evaluated by team doctors and had his cast removed. According to Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan, Sundberg will return to Redskins practice on Wednesday.
Following his injury during the second week of the season, Washington placed him on the injured reserve -- designated to return list. League rules dictate he could not practice before Oct. 22 (Wednesday), which is now exactly what he will do. The first game Sundberg is eligible to play in would be the Redskins' Week 11 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, which could have big implications on the NFC East race.
If there was any doubt how eager Sundberg is to play every Sunday, the veteran acknowledged he knew his arm was broken in Week 2 even though he continued to play.
