Geoff Burke-US PRESSWIRE

The Washington Redskins, fresh off a bye and playing at home, are field goal favorites this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Washington Redskins (3-6), fresh off a bye week, find themselves 3 to 3.5-point favorites this weekend over the visiting Philadelphia Eagles (3-6), according to the latest SB Nation NFL odds, powered by OddsShark.

The two teams have combined to lose eight straight games, with the Eagles actually in slight worse shape than Washington. Andy Reid will be starting rookie quarterback Nick Foles on Sunday, in the absence of the concussed Michael Vick. Philadelphia has dropped five straight games.

The host Redskins and rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III hope Sunday's game is the beginning of an unlikely playoff push. Washington, losers of three straight games, face division foes Philadelphia, Dallas and New York in the next three weeks, and victories in those contests would place the team in the thick of the playoff race in the muddled NFC.

The Philadelphia vs. Washington rivalry dates back to 1934, with the Redskins holding the all-time lead at 79-70-5.

Kickoff between the Skins and Eagles is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday from FedEx Field.
