Panthers vs. Redskins score update: Carolina leads 14-6 after 3rd quarter

A Redskins field goal cut into the Panthers' lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Carolina Panthers lead the Washington Redskins, 14-6, at the end of the third quarter of Sunday's game.

Washington's Kai Forbath kicked his second field goal of the game in the third quarter. It was a 25-yarder to cut Carolina's lead to 14-6 with 5:06 left in the third quarter.

The Redskins are 1-for-8 on converting third downs.

Robert Griffin III has completed 14-of-20 passes for 146 yards. He's been sacked once and hasn't turned the ball over. His favorite target has been Joshua Morgan, who has five catches for 41 yards. Leonard Hankerson has two catches for 42 yards.

Alfred Morris has been Washington's lead back, rushing for 76 yards on 13 carries.

Cam Newton has completed 10-of-18 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. The Panthers have used three players to carry the bulk of 130 yards on the ground. Jonathan Stewart has 51 yards on five carries, DeAngelo Williams has 35 yards on three carries and Newton has 31 yards.
