Washington Redskins safety DeJon Gomes suffered a left knee injury on the opening kickoff of the second half against the Philadelphia Eagles. He left the field under his own power but his return was announced as questionable.
As Washington received the opening kickoff of the second half, a teammate fell and rolled up on the side of Gomes' left leg. Gomes stayed down on the field for a while before eventually walking off under his own power. Once off the field, Gomes went directly to the Redskins' locker room.
Gomes has returned to the sideline and was shown on a stationary bike, but his status to return was announced as questionable.
The second-year safety from Nebraska has become a regular in the Washington secondary, recording 39 tackles and one interception this season.
The Redskins scored on the first drive of the second half to extend their lead to 20-10. Philadelphia responded with a field goal to draw within seven.
The game is being televised on FOX.
