Stay connected for news and updates

The NFL released the official salary cap numbers over the weekend, days before the official start of free agency. The Washington Redskins currently stand $31 million under the cap of $120.6 million.

The Redskins figure to be big players in free agency, with their main goal being to sign a wide receiver to complement whichever player they choose in the NFL Draft. Vincent Jackson and Pierre Garcon are two receivers consistently mentioned as having the Redskins' interest.

The Redskins may also be looking to sign a corner back to help with the secondary or even a new offensive lineman to help protect the Redskins' new quarterback.
