D.C. Mayor To Meet With Citizens Over Proposed Redskins Facility

Washington, D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray will meet with citizens of the city Thursday evening to talk about the possibility of bringing the Redskins back into D.C. according to tweets from Washington Examiner sportswriter Rick Snider.

As of right now, there's nothing immediate on the table. This is all just in the beginning processes. However, the ultimate goal is to have a stadium built in D.C. by 2027.

The 2027 date is key because that is when the FedEx Field stadium lease with Prince George's County expires. The Redskins have announced previously that they do intend to play at their current home through the lease.
