When the Washington Redskins traded up to the No. 2 pick in the draft, it was for the privilege of taking one of the best quarterback prospects in years; we just didn't know if it would be Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III. While we could assume the Colts would take Andrew Luck with the No. 1 overall pick leaving the Redskins with Griffin III, we can't know for sure until he reaches a contract in Indy or we hear his name called next Thursday. But now Adam Schefter is reporting that the Colts have told Andrew Luck that he will be the pick.
No great surprise, it's what most expected, but Colts have told Andrew Luck they will take him with the No. 1 overall pick, per NFL source.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 19, 2012
Which means, as we expected, the Redskins will be taking Robert Griffin III at No. 2 overall.
