Leonard Hankerson Injury: Receiver On Track To Return In Time For Camp

Stay connected for news and updates

Expectations are high for Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III. The reality is that RG3 cannot live up to the hype on his own. He does need a little help from the players around him, particularly the wide receivers. Second-year receiver Leonard Hankerson expects to be fully recovered from hip surgery in time to help out the young quarterback, according to the Washington Post.

Hankerson injured during an eight-catch, 106-yard breakout game against the Dolphins in Week 10. He had surgery in February to repair a torn labrum in his right hip.

"I'm feeling good, getting better every day. Not quite there yet, but hopefully I will be in a couple of weeks."

Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan expects Hankerson to see plenty of playing time along with free agent additions Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan.
