John Beck Signs With Houston Texans, According To Report

Stay connected for news and updates

The Washington Redskins released quarterback John Beck after the 2012 NFL Draft, that saw the Redskins draft not one but two quarterbacks. It didn't take long for the former Redskins quarterback to get another shot with another NFL team. Beck has signed a deal with the Houston Texans, according to a report.

McClain notes that Beck is familiar with the Texans offensive system, having played for Mike Shanahan. Kubiak's offensive system is virtually identical to what Shanahan runs, as both worked together with Denver Broncos. The Texans had wanted a veteran quarterback after dealing with injuries last season.
