While his legal issues were resolved, there is still no word on whether or not the NFL will come down with their own punishment in this case. Meriweather was signed to the Redskins back in March. In his five-year career, Meriweather has intercepted 12 passes, recorded two sacks and 293 tackles. The hope here is that there will not be any serious penalties handed down by the NFL so that Meriweather can bring his aggressive style of play to the Redskins' secondary.
