Redskins Training Camp: Leonard Hankerson Says He's 'Not Quite' At Full Health

Second-year wide receiver Leonard Hankerson is expected to be a key contributor to the Redskins offense this season after his rookie campaign was cut short by a hip injury in a game against the Miami Dolphins.

Speaking to reporters after Friday morning's walkthrough at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Hankerson admitted that he is still not quite recovered from the surgery to repair the injury.

"Not quite yet," he said. "I'm still working down in the training room, working with [Redskins head athletic trainer] Larry Hess and the other training guys.

"It's nothing major," Hankerson continued. "It is just not normal."

Hankerson said that he was cleared to participate fully in practice on Friday. The 2011 third-round draft pick from Miami (Fla.) played in just four games for the Redskins in 2011, where he made 13 catches for 163 yards.
