Redskins Training Camp: Dezmon Briscoe Claimed Off Of Waivers From Buccaneers, According To Report

The Washington Redskins continue to acquire wide recivers, as Adam Caplan is reporting that the team has claimed Dezmon Briscoe off of waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Briscoe, 22, was waived by the Bucs after just two seasons. After playing in just two games in 2011, he saw an increased role in 2012 where he played in all 16 games while making two starts. He reeled in 35 catches for 387 yards and scored six touchdowns in 2012. He has averaged 11.7 yards per catch in his career.

Briscoe was released by the Bucs on Thursday, where the Redskins jumped in quickly and signed him. He was taken with the sixth round by Tampa Bay in the 2010 NFL Draft.
