Redskins Training Camp: Jamaal Brown Will Get An MRI On Tuesday

Stay connected for news and updates

Washington Redskins offensive tackle Jamaal Brown is on the shelf with an injury to his surgically repaired hip. Projected as the team's starting right tackle, he began training camp on the PUP list. Brown will get an MRI on his hip on Tuesday, according to John Keim of the Washington Examiner.

In the meantime, the market for free agent offensive tackles lacks much in the way of reliable options. Rich Tandler of Real Redskins noted the list of free agents is filled with more injury question marks. Marcus McNeill, arguably the top option, missed the last seven games of the 2011 season. Other options would be a more difficult fit in head coach Mike Shanahan's zone blocking scheme.
