As the preseason progresses, the roster battles and depth chart jostling heat up out at Redskins Park.
The Washington Redskins held their final open practice out in Ashburn on Tuesday afternoon. The preseason now kicks into high gear, with roster cuts on the horizon and the games being played in more regular season-like conditions. The Skins lost a defensive linemen this week when Chris Neild went down with a torn ACL on Monday afternoon. That shakes up the depth chart along the defensive front and creates an opportunity for a backup to make the roster. Most likely, it entrenches Chris Baker in the role supporting Barry Cofield.
